There are many storms out there, all of them perfect in their own way. But there is only one Mother of all Storms and it only happens in Pacific City, Oregon. Based on Stormwatcher’s Winterfest, our English-style barleywine, Mother of all Storms spent many months aging in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Now at its peak, Mother of all Storms delivers deep flavors of toasted malt, bourbon and oak. The finish rewards with whispers of vanilla, toffee and caramel. Best enjoyed with gusts exceeding 60 mph.

Dark amber, medium head. Sticky, caramel, toffee, touch of alcohol. Figs, dark fruit, a bit of chocolate, spice, bourbon, there’s a lot of complexity to this. Very good.

Dark brown, no head. Figgy, dates, big dried fruit goodness, alcohol, toffeeish malt, lots of bitterness, big treacly balance. Really one of my favourite barley wines.

Shared bottle at tasting. Deep brown with minimal tan head. Aroma of alcohol. Taste is heavy alcohol, burned sugar, medicinal notes.

Flaska från trade, årgång 2018, 14%. Mörk mahognybrun, något murken med liten beige krona. Tobak, läder, druvsötma, lite dessertvinstoner, kolaremmar, fikon, katrinplommon i mängder, bourbon, fat, kokos, vanilj, mandelmassa. Maffig och dekadent brittisk BW, fantastiskt gott.

Tap @ Toronado Seattle. Pours very dark brownish black with a small brown head. Aromas of vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate, light booze, bread. Taste has a lot of caramel, sweet malt, bourbon fudgey goodness, light bitterness, vanilla, booze, bread. Fuck me.
