There are many storms out there, all of them perfect in their own way. But there is only one Mother of all Storms and it only happens in Pacific City, Oregon. Based on Stormwatcher’s Winterfest, our English-style barleywine, Mother of all Storms spent many months aging in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Now at its peak, Mother of all Storms delivers deep flavors of toasted malt, bourbon and oak. The finish rewards with whispers of vanilla, toffee and caramel. Best enjoyed with gusts exceeding 60 mph.

Thick bourbon toffee, sweet sweet, bit of a roasted malt back still, needs more aging for the rough finish. But still great sweetness upfront. *Edit" at room temp no bitterness, let this baby breathe, +.50
I dunno about this barleywine master race stuff. This is toffee juice but isn't any smoother than last year's.

Bottle: Poured a light brownish orange with no head. Aroma is huge boozy with malts. Taste is boozy alcohol with malts little more American hops rugged.

22oz Bottle 2011 vintage at barley wine tasting. Dark brown/amber with small beige head. Aroma brings in some boozy notes, sweet fruit, molasses, malts. Five years on, still great. 2016 vintage on 10/25/2019...bier:thirty. 2015 vintage on 12/14/19 2013 and 2018 vinatges on June 26. 2021
