Gelanceerd na 100% goedkeuring van de zes vennoten. We dronken, zagen en zeiden in koor: “Code Oranje”. d’Ooijevaer Code Oranje is een alarmerend toegankelijk speciaalbier. De eerste brouw van dit bier was in de buitenlucht en heeft als een wonder het weeralarm dat voor die dag was afgegeven doorstaan. Hangend aan een door de wind gedragen partytent hielden we de ketels gevrijwaard van een onvoorstelbare stroom zure regen. De naam van dit bier was geboren nog voor het liggen van de storm.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Mr. Hop. Dark brown with a beige head. Dark malty aroma with raisins, sweet coffee, brown sugar. Taste is sweet with a bittersweet finish. Some alcoholwarmth. Nice Belgian styled dark ale.

Bottled may 2017. Another one of those overcarbonated, watery attempts at the style, but not the worst by far.. Sugary sweet, some good roast in the back, a tiny bit of dark fruit and some coffee. Enjoyable, but not great. Bring me some Carolus Classic!

Bottle 330ml. at [ Pre-Borefts Ratebeer Tasting ] @ Deanso’s place (former ABC Beers), Korte Koediefstraat 5 Den Haag, Netherlands 2511CE. [ As d’Ooijevaer Code Oranje ].Unclear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, chocolate, artificial orange, light roasted, soft orange chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate, dark malt, orange, soft orange chocolate, sweet yeasy - candy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160922] 6-3-6-4-12

33cl Bottle from Christos, thanks! Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dark fruits, candy. Flavour is quite sweet, malty, dark fruits, candy, stewed fruits, light malty bitterness, light yeasty. Medium bodied. OK.

Thank you (?) 330 ml. bottle sampled @ Pre-Borefts Ratebeer Tasting 2016. Dark amber orange, little head. Nose is weird cough syrup, sugar, leaves & oxidation. Taste is leaves, oxidation, molasses, sugar, oily candy. Oxidized body with leaves, doesn’t work for me.
