Coolship Lager is brewed using a traditional double decoction mash and hopped with fine European noble hops. After the boil it rests in our copper coolship for 1 hour. It is then transferred over our baudelot cooler into our open tanks for fermentation. After a cool fermentation using a classic Czech lager yeast it is cellared for several months prior to release.

Canned April 28th, a sticker on the 4pack.

It pours a fairly pale gold with an impressive head of foam. Like its dark relative, the foam is long lasting.

I get noble hops, toasted malt, some diacetyl sweetness in the smell.

The taste is lovely noble hops bitterness, toasted malt, some buttery sweetness that is acceptable to me. Overall , very enjoyable.

Good mouthfeel and drinkability. I am on a Lager kick and this also fits the bill.

Canned 2/18/21, drunk 6/15/21.
Clear, pale, straw-golden with a well-retained, white head.
More malt than hops at this age, but there's definitely still a strong herbal presence from the hops and it's delightful, fragrant and clean. Malts are well-presented, too, showing good, malty depth of honey and light white bread, with a lingering green, hop acidity on the finish and no alcohol or flaw.
Soft, malty and tightly carbonated, with green, herbal/woody hop notes balancing the maltiness but tending nicely malty overall. Clean as all hell and with light plastery/mineral-like yeast. Definitely feels very on-point for a Czech pils and just a fantastic, clean, quenching beer in general.

Pours ever-so-slightly hazed gold into a stein. Bright white head with good retention. Sourdough aromas. Crisp with earthy caramel and malt upfront turning to earthy sourdough and citrus in the medium length finish.

16 oz. can in a trade with tfontana, thanks Tom the opportunity. Hazy golden color. Aroma: herbal, sweet honey bread maltiness. Flavor: grassy/ herbal undertone with balanced flavor. Subtle grassy bitterness. Crisp texture. No funky notes. Cool Ship? Still a quality Czech pils.
