Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

Kicsi, nem túl tartós barna hab, fekete szín. Csokis, kakaós, vaníliás illat, némi aszalt gyümölcsös beütéssel. Csokis, kakaós, kissé kávés ízek, vaníliás, aszalt szilvás-meggyes vonásokkal. Száraz, földes, közepesen testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. A mintaszerű, szinte tökéletes stout.

Bottle. Aphrodite. Color: Black, dense stable light brown head. Aroma: Sweetish, vanilla, cocoa with roasted malt hints. Taste: Very smooth, creamy, almost powdery. Very well balanced. Bittery cocoa, sweetish vanilla, subtle roasted malt noted. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice complexity and a lot of great balanced flavours for a relatively low alcoholic Stout. Great one.

0.341l bottle as Aphrodite. Black body with a moderate light brown head. Aroma of vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate and sour cherries. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma with notes of cocoa, coffee, sour cherries, vanilla and floral hops. The cocoa is very heavy in the beer. Nice one.

Smell - strong coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa and roast aroma. Foam - coffee, dark chocolate notes, soft and little thick, but not creamy, some bitterness along the way. Taste - again dark chocolate, coffee, notes, bitterness, some sweetness at the back little to no carbonation. Interesting and nice beer for sure, feels stronger than it is.

11.5 oz bottle from Albertsons. Pours out thick and black, small creamy beige head. Aroma is roast malts, burnt toast, ashy, chocolate. Subtle but rich. Taste begins with the roadt malt bitterness, hints of dark chocolate, toasted marshmallows. Again very subtle. A little bitterness lingers, hint of sweetness. Creamy and smooth. Not a big beer in ABV, but huge in taste and feel.

On tap at Svijet piva, Zagreb. Black, creamy tan head. Aroma is strangely mostly caramel. Light metallic touch, dried fruits. Red fruit. No roasty or burnt character. Very nice flavours of cookie dough, chocolate chip cookie, slightly roasty. Light jaffa cake. Very smooth, almost thick. Light body though. Light finish. Sweet, metallic, fruity and cookie.
