To celebrate eight years of brewing, we created a delicious German-style doppelbock. COLOSSAL 8 is a malt-forward, russet-colored lager with crimson highlights. At 8% ABV, COLOSSAL 8 is slightly warming with a touch of sweetness, evoking baking bread and plums.

Draft pour at Hops N' Shine. Poured a slightly clear, dark amber color with a medium sized, slightly off-white head. Aroma was a blast of sweet malts. Light toasted, roasted notes. Flavor was sweet malts, roast. Smooth. There's a little bit of alcohol here, but it's quite pleasant. Very crisp and clean.

$2.24 bottle, Total Wine - S. Richmond. Pours slightly hazy brown with a small beige head. Aroma is faint: caramel and light earth, brown grass. Flavor is brown grass, brown leaf, earthy caramel, light alcohol. Expected a bigger bang for an anniversary beer.
