Can split at the L6 XMAS Karnage Tasting, thanks to Tips, 19/12/19. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is coffee bean, white chocolate, light white peppery spice. Taste comprises airy malts, coffee cake, vanilla essence, white chocolate sprinkle, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost. Decent for the sub genre.

Can shared in Canary Wharf, London - cheers boyos! Pours lightly cloudy orange-gold with a creamy, white head. Not bad, moderately sweet, with light coffee, citrus fruits, mild bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good balance in the finish. Tasty stuff.

Thanks to Cloin for the can. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth light malts, a light creamy sweetness. Light spice. Smooth orangey citrus. Mild tangerine. Light mildly spicy finish. Tidy.

$4.70 pint can, WW. Hazy golden with a small white head; stouts should not be yellow. Aroma is coffee beans, wheat... nothing stout-like about the aroma. Flavor is weakly brewed coffee, oats, powdered chocolate alcohol; not good. Grainy/gritty mouthfeel. Poorly done.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick creamy soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/white chocolate, cocoa, medium roast coffee, honey, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough/crust, and nuttiness; with light notes of pear, apple, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bready malts, lactose, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big milk/white chocolate, cocoa, medium roast coffee, honey, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough/crust, and nuttiness; with light notes of pear, apple, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, floral, grassy, peppery hops; and cocoa/roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/white chocolate, cocoa, medium roast coffee, honey, vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough/crust, nuttiness, pear, apple, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts, lactose, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/roasted bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 9.6%. Overall this is an excellent white stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts, lactose, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish, great soft feel. Great balance of rich malts/oats, lactose, cocoa, vanilla, and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with nice earthy hop presence/balance. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively spot on style example.

Hazy light golden color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Roasty earthy with a hint of light fruit. Its mostly coffee in the aroma and flavor. Hard to call this a stout, but its not too shabby.

At some point all white stouts taste pretty similar, except for Tony's pie. Chocolate coffee and vanilla all spun up and golden. Also lactose extravaganza.
