26th May 2019, Shrewsbury Beer Share Meeting in Chez Sophie; five of us. Cheers Simon for this little can (8 US Fl Oz's). Black, wispy top. Coffee and liquorice notes in the nose and taste, boozy and nice.

Canned. Black, no head. Molasses and licorice up front. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Tarry licorice, dark bread. Black pepper in a long bitterness. Well made.

Smallest can I've seen, from Malt & Mold. Pours inky black with large spongy tan head, very faint roasted malt aroma, adequate carbonation, bitter coffee beans taste, somewhat thick body, long bitter finish. Well covered ABV but quite bitter.

At the source: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is coffee, dark chocolate, roast. Pretty bitter, not overly sweet. Lingering aftertaste. ABV is well covered.
