Pours like a stout from a bottle. I like that deScription: "rum-soaked caramelized dark fruits". That’s about it right there. I suppose the bitterness and mouthfeel do contribute some espresso type of tone, but in general it’s a boozy, somewhat fruity stout. Man, I feel like I’m getting drunker with every sip. Good beer.

12.04.2015, 0,35l bottle (2014 vintage) @ home:
Big brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich and sweet, dark malts, caramel, soy sauce, dark sugar, chocolate, coffee, grass, alcohol, hops, pine needles, licorice. Taste is kind of harsh and boozy, sour coffee, booze, harsh hops, grass, dark malts, burnt caramel, pine needles, bark, minerals. Longlasting bitterness, harsh boozy mouthfeel. A typical beer I need to rerate at some point, when it’s been aged for many many years.

Sampled from bottle @ RBBSG 2015. Opaque pitch black color, small brown head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, dark malts, chocolate and chocolate. Taste malts, dark malts, chocolate, balanced alcohol, bitter and some roast. Medium body and carbonation. Very nice!

Bottle from a trade. Many thanks! Dark brown/black colour. Bitter roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, cherries. Sweet and bitter. Not very well balanced. Alcoholic also. Not bad but over rated.
