12 oz. bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop in Durham. Pours a hazy golden brown with a one finger head and low head retention. Toasted malts in the nose with some acrid, metallic vibes. Aroma is weak malts dominated by a tart hoppiness. And good lord, is that adobo? Medium bodied, and a poor offering from Otter Creek.

Pours deep amber into a stein. Off-white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Candy corn aromas. Sweet caramel upfront with a dry chalk finish.

Bottle. OCO has a nice orange body with a bit of a head, but nothing substantial. Aromas are pleasant and a stong point: fall-like spices, sweet, caramel malts and fallen leaves. Flavor is very similar... body is malty with an almost peppery bit to the hops that gives the beer a little zest that is all its own. A little bit thin for an Oktoberfest, but pleasant nonetheless. Much thanks to goldtwins for this one.

12 oz bottle. Poured a copper/orange color. Aroma is a bit of sweet caramels, hops, and a touch of yeast. Flavor is malty, with a bit of spice in it. Overall this is a fine beer for the coming months in the fall.

Pretty clear pale orangish color. Perhaps a little sweetness in this yeasty aroma. Can’t read the date on this 12 oz twist off cap bottle. Slight petroleum taste on the back of the palate. Has more bitter personality compared to other fest beers. Good medium carbonation. Building controlled malt bitterness parks itself in the finish and hangs around for a while.

Looks like your classic marzen, translucent coppery orange with a whispy white head. I was surprised by the amount of hops in the aroma with a background of grain and yeast. The flavor was fantastic. Malty and sweet but incredibly balanced. I think the low alcohol allows the essence of fall to come through in this beer. I loved this beer, it’s everything good beer should be, subtle and savory and greater than the sum of it’s parts.

This is my first beer from this company. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a caramel color with a small light tan head. The aroma is light but sweet and malty. The flavor is light malts with a hint of nut. Not a whole lot of flavor to this one.

An amber beer with a nice though disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and hops, leading to a dry end. The body is thin. There is something weird about this beer, that I can’t put down in words, but draws my impression down.
