This brown ale has a marked ruby brown colour with a gen-erous and lasting head. It has a distinctive aroma reflecting the wide range of ingredients used in its production. The fruitiness resulting from its fermentation blends harmoni-ously with a dominant liquorice and caramel flavour. The body is decidedly malty. The bitterness is the result of a complex alchemy between the fine hops and special malts used. These give St-Feuillien Brune a typical dark chocolate appearance. This beer creates an endless variety of sensations with a lingering taste and powerful aroma.

Good Belgian dubbel. Rich taste of caramel, brown suger, anis, bread and spices. The alcohol isn’t overwhelming. Nice brew.

0,33 l. bottle from Fakta in to a trappist glass. Clear, deep amber colour with a creamy, long lasting light tan head. Spicy and fruity aroma with rich caramel malts, licorice and dark, dried fruits. The taste is sweet and malty. Medium body with a creamy texture, lively carbonated. Long lasting fruity finish with ripe fruits, yeasts, spices and caramel malts. As always from St Feuillien good craftsmanship. Solid Dubbel.

Aroma is typically malty and sweet with a hint of liquorice too. The tip of the tongue really picks up on the slightly numbing liqourice. Very warming feel in the aftertaste. Overall too much liquorice in this one.
