Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 3/28/2018. Pours slightly hazy very dark reddish brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coconut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of smoke, charcoal, dark fruit, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coconut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of smoke, charcoal, dark fruit, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/peppery hop bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coconut, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toasted dark bread, smoke, charcoal, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet balance. Touch of lingering acrid/astringency through the glass, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate increasing dryness from hop/char bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 5.7%. Overall this is a very good flavored American stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coconut, and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink; despite the over carbonated and bitter/drying finish. Nicely rich stout malt complexity for the ABV, nice solid coconut presence, not overdone; balancing earthy hops. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a large, three to four centimetre tall nice rich brown head that leaves a nice lace on top. Aroma of roatsed malt, light caramelised sugars, a touch of anise and licorice, some lactose and the faintest hint of toasted coconut - definitely roasted throughout. Light to Medium-bodied; Relatively strong bitter, burnt flavours at first with a deep roasted malt and peat profile with some nuts, lactose, earth and sugars along with lactose, light coconuts and a heavier hand of oatmeal and other grain near the end. Aftertaste shows some more noticeable maltiness with some burnt notes and a good deal of burnt sugars and a touch of coconut, but not much at the absolute end. Overall, a decent enough stout, showing perhaps too much burnt flavours and roast with hardly any coconut, which is what I really wanted to see in this one. Still, nice to try as it comes from half the country away and I might try to visit the brewery the next time i'm in Nebrasaka/Lincoln. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from BeerTopia in Omaha, Nebraska on 01-October-2017 for US$1,67 sampled at home in Washington a few days before returning back to Omaha on 30-January-2018.

Can, thanks to Unclemike. Pours dark brown with slight reddish tint against the light, small foamy beige head, sweet roasted malt aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter roasted malt taste, thin body, long finish. Not bad, not great either.

Bottle. A- Subtle coconut, cocoa, roasty. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Roasty, dry, slightly bitter, mild coconut, cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, dry finish. O- I expected more from Zipline. A touch more sweetness and more coconut would have been nice. Just seemed a bit underwhelming. Good but not quite great.
