Coffee Porter Bottle. Pours black with brown head. Nose/taste of soft roasted chocolate malt, cocoa, fresh coffee beans, sweet malt, coffee creamer and soft sugar. Nose has some slight vegetal qualities to it. Very much like a cold cup of coffee with a drop of creamer. Medium body.

Tasting at Papsø’s
Dark brown color, almost black. Smell of poor office coffee pot, ashy. The flavor is a bit sweet, with malt flavor, roasted malts, and bad coffee (old boiled coffee). Unfortunate.

On tap at Haandverkerstuene. It pours more or less black, topped by a dense, tan head of moderate size. The aroma has lots of lovely coffee, along with roasted malts, some alcohol and hints of cocoa. Lightly sourish flavor, in a coffee kind of way, and also the flavor is dominated by coffee. Delicious coffee I must say, but it’s a bit one dimensional. Medium to full body, pleasantly carbonated. Coffee in the finish too. A quite lovely one, especially the aroma, but it could use a bit more body. As this is entered from my backlog, I can also add that what I’ve had from bottles later on hasn’t been equally impressive, the lack of depth has been even more evident. Bottle in our quirky Oslo Hotel. Opaque black - brown beer. Little tan head. Semi dry palate with light crispness. Nice fresh coffee, not roasty or too bitter. The coffee is neat and espresso like, no cream here! Mild minerals. Semi dry finish. Good coffee beer.

Frischer Beginn, hopfig-malzige Mischung. Röstiger werdend, dabei weich bleibend, die Kaffeenoten legen deutlich zu. Dann würziger, konstant vollmundig, Espresso, Holz. 12/12/12/12//12

Bottle shared by Marcus as Coffee Porter. Pours dark brown/black with a creamy tan/beige head. Aroma is very coffee. Maybe a bit of chocolate. Med+ body. Flavor is coffee/chocolate. Aroma had more of everything. Finishes almost mocha.

Draft @ ACBF 2012: dark brown with a very thick café au lait head, very impressive looking, smells like bitter, ground-up breakfast coffee, taste is lots of mocha, surreally creamy for a beer, going towards ice cream, almost plain cream, café au lait, leading into grounded coffee, bitter coffee beans finish (not roasted), lots of bitter very dark chocolate, ridiculously creamy body, a coffee lovers dream (& I am not much of a coffee lover)
