Pour is a clear amber with a large white head. Aroma is citrus hops and Belgian yeast esters. Flavor is honeydew melon hops with a sweet caramel malt. Kind of loses the Belgian yeast in the flavor. It was there but very minor but the fruity citrus and melon hops made up for it. Not a style you find often but this one is pretty good.

Sample from a can. Pours a clear, yellow color, with a medium-sized, frothy, white head. The aroma is bubblegum, hay, pine, caramel, and wet grass. Sweet and malty, with a light bitterness, and lots of esters. Light to medium body, with a fluffy, effervescent mouthfeel. This is a solid, interesting, and very yeasty IPA.

Draught @ George Keeley. Clear golden with off-white foamy head, faint citrus peel aroma, lightly bitter malt taste, thin body, medium bitter finish. Smooth but not very strong.

Tap at Solemn Oath. Unfilered orange-copper body. Thin white head. Sweet yeasty notes in the aroma. Pretty much one of the better Belgian IPAs I’ve had recently/ Full bodied but drinkable. Serious hop depth, from dry to fruity. Pretty straightforward despite the above average hop additions. Soapy, biting yeast.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, yeast and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Hazy orange amber beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is semi dry and crisp from fine carbonation. Smooth light malt base, touch of cream. Good orange hops with lesser tangerine. Touches of bitter peel, mango and spicy yeast. Finishes light and airy. Comes together well. Very drinkable.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Yeast and bubblegum aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and yeast upfront turning to mild grapefruit in the lasting finish.

Bottle. Pours clear orange gold. White head. Nose and taste of oily perfume, pineapple, grainy malt, tangerine pith, white and palm sugar and orange candy. Medium body.

4 oz. taster at S.O. Dark honey brown, with a thin but persistent layer of foam. Not overly hoppy on the nose. The candi sugar sweetness of a Belgian Dubel toughs it out against an enamel-burning hop bitterness. A slight orange syrup note in the middle, even as it’s piercing my lips.

On tap at Bangers and Lace. Pours a near clear orange gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice combination of grapefruit and citrus witch a hint of pine bitterness. Flavor begins with more grapefruit but mellows to some bitter pine with a bit of citrus.
