On tap at the brewpub.
Jet black pour, dark, thick mocha head. Intense roasty aroma with quite a bit of sweet malts also, with hints of vanilla and charred wood. Oily, slick mouth feel, very soft carb. Espresso, bitter cocoa finish. Long lasting dark, charrd roastiness.

Tasting at Brian's
Black colour with large beige head. Strong roasted malt and dark chocolate character, moderate sweetness, intense roasted nuts, smooth.
Excellent.

Dark brown. On the nose, this is bourbony, with a hint of coffee, a touch of chocolate. It's a bit thin, and that lack of sugar hinders the development of malt complexity maybe. So it's okay if it's your local impy but doesn't extend beyond that.

Big dark cocoa notes with some nice roast. Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Cocoa and toast with a nice dry finish. Nice.

500ml bottle (thx, Charles F.!) shared with George. Bottled on 2017-06-10. Pours an almost black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, fruity, slight bourbon notes. Similar taste. Quite dry. As usual for QC stuff, not enough bourbon barrel aging presence. Just a good stout.

Bottle, thanks to Yourilevesque. Pours inky black with beige creamy head, whisky-mocha aroma, high carbonation, bitter coffee taste laced with whisky, thin body, long bitter mocha finish with slight alcohol aftertaste. Strong and tasty.

Pitch black with a thick tan head. This 500ml bottle is just a month and a half old if you ignore the time spent in the barrel. It's got a really cool aroma that gives me something different each time: smoke, oak, molasses, floral hops, umami, nuts. Full bodied and smooth. The taste is dark bitter chocolate, nuts and oak. A bit simple after the complex nose but good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500mL bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks a lot, Youri), pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out rich roasted malt, some light bourbon notes, and dry powdery cocoa. Flavour is very highly roasted, with loads of roasted malt upfront, accentuated beautifully by the bourbon barrels, and a touch of bitter dry cocoa powder. Very nicely constructed, though perhaps rather bitter on the finish.
