Wishbone pours a clear, bright gold with a fluffy white head and light, sticky lacing throughout the glass. Wishbone’s nose boasts tropical citrus notes of pineapple, lychee and brilliant pear accented by a light pine resin. Wishbone offers a medium mouthfeel with big, sweet hops balanced by a bready finish offered by mostly pale malt with a touch of Brewer’s Oats, Maris Otter and Victory to add just enough backbone to support the intense hop quantities. With an aroma and taste more sessionable than it’s 8% ABV body lets on, Wishbone: This Bone’s For You!

Meh. I expected more from a double ipa.

A golden amber DIPA with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, alcohol warmth, very nice and bitter. On tap at Syracuse Winter Brewfest 2017.

Draught @ Albion. Draught @ Albion. Cloudy dark orange with small foamy off-white head, very faint malt aroma, medium carbonation, bitter hoppy taste with a hint of pineapple, thin body, long bitter finish. A bit on the bitter side.

12oz bottle pours with a clear deep gold body that has a narrow copper core and supports a light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up floral hops, some bitter smelling grapefruit and then a faint malt sweetened citrus candy sensation blended with a bit of biscuit like malts. The taste begins with bitter grapefruit hops and sweet malts and then quickly gets into big flowery floral hops. To midway a sweeter candy like grapefruit hop note fights with the bitter floral hops and in the end there are no winners particularly not the beer consumer.

12oz bottle picked up at Supermarket Liquor
Pours clear golden with a small off-white head, some lacing. Aroma of pine resin, caramel and citrus. Taste is malty, grassy, bready, citrus and spicy hops
Decent but I wouldn’t want another one.

tap - Pours hazy gold and has a big citrus hop aroma. It has a big bitter hop flavor with some good citrus character and a long bitter finish. There’s caramel malt and it’s a bit cough syrupy. Overall it’s pretty good though a little underwhelming for one of my favorite styles. A "session double IPA" with 8% abv? Now they’re just being silly.

Very nice crystal clear amber and copper body with a thin, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of pineapple and light piney hops with a lot of malt, some honey sweetness and a bit more from the tropical fruits. Medium-bodied; Assertive floral and piney hop flavours at first with some mild metallic and earthy malt flavours follow behind. Aftertaste shows a little grassy and sweet flavour from the malt, but largely an average, if that Imperial IPA. Overall, I was expecting a bit more from this one, but it was underwhelming and frankly not worth trying to find this one, as funny and tongue-in-cheek as it is. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (Foggy Bottom, Eye Street), DC on 19-July-2015 for US$3,49 sampled at home in Washington on 07-September-2015.
