Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, some floral notes, mild bready and caramelly maltiness. Flavour is a bit bready maltiness, and also has some floral and herbal notes to it. Quite watery feeling, with not too much bitterness.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines and Spirits, Birmingham. Mine was 5.5% too! Poured a slightly cloudy light amber with a long-lasting thin white head and some lacing. The aroma is malty and the flavour medium bitter, with some malt and lingering bitterness on the palate and into the after taste. I’m happy to drink it, but it is a little bland. It needs more flavours.

My bottle conditioned version had 5.5%ABV, not the 4.7% as stated on here and BA. Anyway the 500ml brown bottle had a best before date of Oct 2011 and was taken late July 2011. The beer is mid-amber with an off-white head of small bubbles. Pale and Crystal malts only, so darker than I thought would be the case. Sadly the beer wasn’t very good, it had a dry almost metalic aftertaste and no foretaste either: a big let down from start to finish. This really was a ’nothing beer’. I found hints of malts and hops, but not enough to comment on.

500ml bottle, 5.5%. Pours a very hazy orange with a large, frothy head. Aroma is fruity hops and bready malt. Not much to taste to start and then a paracetamol dryness. Very bitter finish and too much carbonation.
