Bottle: Pours slightly hazy gold with a small white head. Scent is orange, orange-peel. Sweet, soft orange malt over a nice peel bitter. Citrus, pink grapefruit...slightly tropical. Very tasty.

Bottle (thanks jtclockwork!). Orange malt and earthy/grassy orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange malt and moderately strong bitter earthy grapefruit peel flavor. Nice.

Drought. Reddish amber color, very small whitish head, subtle hops aroma, slightly sour hoppy taste, not hops-intense, low carbonation, long finish. A bit flat for an IPA. --- Beer merged from original tick of India Pale Ale on 01 Jan 2014 at 07:12 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6. Bottle from Rob S, thanks for the opportunity. Bottled 07/18/2013 Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a huge bubbly off white head that persists forever. Huge lemony grapefruit hop aroma with hints of pine and resin. Light bready and caramel maltiness. The flavor is odd. Earthy almost bitter citrus flavor with bits of caramel and sweet bread. Light astringency, light sulfur. Medium body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a slick bubbly resinous mouthfeel. Decent beer but the odd sulfurous component kept this from being great.

On tap @ Rattle N Hum. A light blurry one with a small light lacing off-white top. Really nice fruity nose with lots of peachy sweet goodness. Some light grassy hints from the hops and a little caramel sweetness is also found . Nice stuff. The carbonation level is about average and it had a light oily mouthfeel. Nice hoppy flavors with a little bit of pine and citrus. Yeah, it's quite citrus zesty here. Some red fruits also. Ends with soft yeasty hints in the burp. Really mouthdrying aftertaste and almost a bit astringent. Still, it's quite a good one. 11.06.2013

A mix with some zing to it. Been a while since I’ve had a good IPA before this. Pours blonde. Booze, florals, some coriander in flavour and a little boozy malt. Average carbonation. Boozy bittersweet finish. Bottle from Premier Gourmet.

Slightly hazy golden honey coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of fresh grassy and herbal hops with some pungent apricot, yeast, wheat and a hint of a bubble gum nose - almost like a wheat-based IPA or showing some wit notes. Medium-bodied; Deep rich hoppiness that shows a lot of spicey and herbal/floral characteristics with a pleasant yeastie and coriander seed freshness at the end. Aftertaste shows some more of the yeast and wheat with a bit of a spice note with the pleasant and not assertive hop flavours still noticeable. Overall, an interesting and refreshing IPA that focuses more on the wheat/wit/yeast notes than on the hops, but delivers on both - neat to try and well worth finding if you like any of these styles! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 06-July-2013 for US$1.34 sampled at home in Washington on 06-August-2013.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Giannone, 5/19/13

Aroma: It has a nice, lightish, fresh citrus nose, with some malty undertones
Appearance: A mostly clear golden-orange color with a medium white head and heavy/sticky lace
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, a bit grainy, with a medium citrus hop bitterness to it
Palate: The body is medium, just a hint watery, still though it is smooth, clean, and very drinkable
Overall Impression: Nice to see a new addition to the CL lineup. This is a solid IPA, though not quite the standout I would have been looking for from them (I like the re-intro NJ one better for example). Still, I enjoyed it, and I'll be happy to drink it again in the future.

Aroma is very hop forward with a balanced blend of citrus and floral, perhaps more towards floral. Light, pale bready malt character compliments. Slight minty note to the hop aroma. Pours a cloudy, pale golden orange with a pillowy white head with decent retention. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor has some sweet cracker notes upfront with light caramel sweetness. Moderate, floral hop aroma with some mint and grapefruit. Not super fruity. Assertive, but clean bitterness in the finish. Light lingering sweetness and not much alcohol spice in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium full carbonation. Low astringency, primarily due to hops and low alcohol warmth. Overall a nice IPA with a refreshing hop aroma, but I think I would have preferred a more assertive hop aroma and flavor. Dry enough for my palate but not quite West Coast style dry. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
