Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 12.10.15. Clear pale straw colour. Small, white head. Aroma of grains, sweet pale malt and grass. Similar taste. Quite tasteful for a Kölsch.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.8%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate to low white head. Moderate aroma of floral and herbal hops. The flavour is herbal, medium dry and quite crisp, with distinct bittering hops in the aftertaste. Refreshing. Fair enough.

500ml bottle from Beer Cartel. Poured into a 250ml Bitburger glass (as near as I can get to a Kolsch glass). Subtle peppery/hop nose. Pale amber beer with many tiny bubbles, solid white head. Flat mouthfeel, medium body. A little malty, a bit grainy, distant hops then a light lemon finish. Not very complex (as per the style). Designed to be drunk quickly and often, quite delicious actually.

Golden color with white head. Quite malty, nutty, not too yeasty. Taste is nutty again, a bit fruity. Like a winter Kölsch. Aftertaste is a bit metallic. Interestingly different. A nice lake brew, as Josh says.
