PINTA Żytorillo 14,0° - our own vision of traditional rye beer. Classical rye beer (Roggenbier) is pale, full bodied and softly-hopped (like PINTA Apetyt na Życie 13,1°). We decided to take next step - we added more malts (roasted malt included), we used perfect yeast for dark beers of top fermentation (S-04) and we added a bunch of Amarillo® hops (USA). PINTA Żytorillo 14,0° - rye beer for new days.
Ingredients: water, Weyermann® barley malts: pale ale, rye, Munich II, roasted Carafa® Special II; hops: Amarillo (USA); yeast: Safale™ S-04.

Bottle 0.5l, more than one year aged. Clear, very dark red to black colored. AROMA- jelly in chocolate, citrusy, roasted to burnt malts, dark chocolate, rye. FLAVOR- creamy texture, dry, moderately bitter, lemon slices on coal, resinous, coffee, dark chocolate. Medium bodied. Very tasty.

Draft at Craft Head, Budapest. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy, light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, dank hops. The flavour is over moderate bitter, with a fresh, smooth, dank, earthy, herbal, dry, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

V beervane. Silna kavova prazena vona. Kavova farba. Chut prazena horka silna drsna. Na konci ostale ostava ta chut prazenej kavy a nastupuje aj kyslost.

Tap at Pinta Warszawa. Med-thin body, med-high carbonation. Med-high bitterness, low sweetness. Lots of roasty character - mostly coffeeish, dry, a bit of chocolate though. Med-light resiny piney hops character, classic Amarillo. Works nicely, good beer overall.

Black with a creamy, beige head. Roasted coffee aroma. Grains. Taste is bitter with a bit of resin. Increasing sourness at the finish. Medium-bodied, good chewiness. The touch of lingering coffee doesn’t meld well with the tartness, otherwise ok.
