Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, oak, coffee and cocoa. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long chocolate, vanilla, oak and coffee finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

[ As Voodoo Chocolate Covered Cherry Big Black Voodoo Daddy (Bourbon Barrels) ].Muddy medium brown creamy colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, dark malt, alcohol, bourbon, cherries. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, cherry - wood. (On tap @ Mikkeller and Friends, Copenhagen, May 11/17) Nearly black colour with a pale tan head. Notes of cacao, dried red fruit, vanilla, dark caramel, umami, bourbon, woody, fairly substantial cherry that unfortunately drifts into a medicinal, astringent character on the finish. Rather dry overall. Light to moderate body for style, low carbonation. Decent, but I would prefer my cherry to avoid that medicine vibe, maybe a richer stout would have paired better.
