Bottle at Älvkarleby Camping, Sweden. Pours . Aroma of urinal cake, dish washing soap, fruits, coriander. Thin bodied, slightly sweet. Tastes better than it smells - probably too much coriander used?

330 ml bottle. Unclear pale golden body with a dense, lacing, medium sized off-white head. Strong, very nice and refreshing aroma of citric fruit, lemon, coriander, banana and some cloves. Flavor is a bit more plane than expected from aroma, mild malt, fruity, spicy with coriander and yeast. A bit thin and watery in body, average aftertaste. Decent, the aroma promised more the flavor could offer. Rather plain and ordinary wit with an amazing aroma.

Rerate, 330 ml can, from Meny Hundvåg. ABV is 4.5%. Cloudy straw colour, moderate white head. Moderate aroma of orange peel and coriander seeds. Citric mouthfeel. Light bodied. The flavour is medium dry with fairly distinct notes of coriander and orange peel, noticeable hops. Nice enough to drink. I'm upping the score a bit. Original rating: Sample in the Malt & Humle tent at Gladmatfestivalen 2014, Stavanger. Like most Austmann beers, it is extremely cloudy. This brewery seems to take "unfiltered" literally, their beers appear not to be even coarse filtered. Typical witbier aroma and flavour, nothing special here. Will rerate when I get a full bottle.

First rating: Huge offwhite head. Hazy pale yellow body with carbonation. Herbal pine needle aroma with spicy lemongrass notes, slightly perfumy. Sweetish spicy lemongrass and flowers taste with mealy lemony notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish, and faintly acidic, lemongrass and toffeeish mealy malt aftertaste with spicy floral notes. A little perfumy, but not much. Interesting, different, and actually quite good. Not all the Austmann beers with spices work well. This is one of their better. (0.33l bottle, from Meny Oslo City.) 6,4,6,3,13=3.2

Second rating: Big white head. Clear yellow body with carbonation and a few small particles. Strong, fresh, clear coriander aroma with herbal fruity notes. Sweetish fruity coriander taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry resiny coriander aftertaste with wooden notes. Lovely aroma, but a bit too much coriander in taste. (0.33l bottle, I forget where from. Batch #287.) 7,3,6,3,12=3.1

0.33l bottle from #115. Looks nice this with a cloudy deep golden body under a medium sized fading bright white head that eventually turns in to a sidesticking islandy thing. On the nose I get a nice soapy (I mean sopay in a good way here) aroma. Junipers and a fair amount of sweet fruitiness. Wheat sweet as well and it has tones of coriander and oranges. Yeah, not bad at all really. In the mouth it has a soft oily mouthfeel and it's just below average on the carbonation. Dry almost a bit grainy flavors at first. Lots of hay and some wheat sweetness. It's almost a little Belgian in the yeast department this. Soft floral with hints of bright white candied sugar and some white sweet currants. Yeah, it's quite lightdrinkable and flavorful. Perhaps a tad to grainy for my personal taste, but it's still a somewhat interesting wit-ish creation. 16.04.2014
