Boise Imperial Stout Trooper. Dark brown color with a thin ring of beige head. Big roast aroma, mild bittersweet cocoa. There is a little sweetness, but mostly roast, some coffee bitters. Pitted fruits and dark chocolate.

Can shared. Black with a thick brown head. Aroma of licorice, chocolate, caramel, overripe dark fruit and raisins. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Light full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of linusb. pours black with a creamy mocha head that leaves some sparse trace on the glass while dissiapting. Smell is malty with roasted malts,dark bread, caramel, dark roast coffe,e dark chocolate, moist soil liquorice and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty. Mouthfeel is soft, round, velvety, tiny astringent and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, caramel, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, moist soil, leather adn hints of alcohol. Solid impy with a hefty malt base!

Again, aged IST's body suffers.some roasted malt, hints of dark fruit and Port. Cardboard and a hop? sharpness that doesn't belong.

Bottle. Black body with a short, tan head. Light aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate, licorice and char. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Taste of ash, char, licorice and light smokiness.. Average.
