Monk Willy is een honing tripel gemaakt met dezelfde hoppen en gist als de Monk Johnny. Het mout stort is op basis van pils mout waardoor deze Monk veel lichter is van kleur.
Aan deze Monk is honing uit Hove toegevoegd. De honing komt van Amielo waar duurzaamheid centraal staat.

Bottled at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Hazy pale golden, rich head. Fruity grassy nose with sassafras and pineapples. Mid sweet with light-medium body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Dough, grass and tiger balm. Lightly peppery finish.

Lichtgeel bier met veel stevig schuim. Smaak is licht zoet en licht bitter met iets van lichtzuur fruit. Best aardig bier.

Bottle @ home. Clear orange golden color, medium sized fizzy white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell and taste malts, slightly sweet, a hint of honey, some fruitpeel, fruitpeel bitter. Average to medium body, fizzy carbonation. Meh. - Edit: very hazy orange brownish after pouring in the last bit.

Bottle shared. Very hazy orange with some floaters and a medium white head. Aroma of dough, floral/honey notes, crisps (the ones shaped like penne pasta without any unique flavour), herbs, strange meaty notes, Plastercine and yeast. Yep this is a really weird one. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a hint of sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very odd, and not in a pleasant way.

Pours bit unclear, blonde. Rather small white head. Smell is funky honey, but not really sweet. Bit dry, as well. Taste is bitter, with honey-funk, surprisingly dry. Not sweet, to my surprise. Tastes like very intense water ( I know how this sounds, but hear me out ) with a lot of minerals, palet-cleansing almost, with a very thirst-quenchening finish. the taste really changes troughout the experience, from bitter,to funk, to the mineral-like ending ( Intense water ) For sure, yes, this is a weird-ass beer ! I was warned so by Bernt, and he was 100 % right on that. Body and MF are agreeable. The funk is só not my thing, I would not like to drink this again. But on the other hand, its so interesting, and unpredictable, that you just want to take another sip, just too see if you can believe what you tasted before. Very interesting !
