(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, deep golden colour with a big and off-white foamy head. Sugary and biscuity malty aroma with notes of candy, caramel, a subtle fruity touch of ripe pears and alcohol. Sweet and delicately bitter flavour, almost full bodied with a calm carbonation. Robust malty base with notes of biscuits, caramel and booze, the latter leading into a stickily sweet and alcoholic finish. Simply strong and sweet, lacks complexity. 01.III.14

Bottle. Murky amber liquid with small to medium white head. Aroma of bread, biscuit, toast, caramel and earth. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes grain, biscuit, plastic and bubblegum. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Not very nice.

Bottle from Elwood Thompson on 02/06/2011. Somewhat hazy golden body with a medium frothy white head. Sweet spice, fruit and caramel aroma. Dry spice, fruit, caramel and some slight graininess. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

Bottle from ABC Drinks Leuven. Rich grainy nose, bread, lots of apricots, honey, crackers, orange. Orange-amber color, very cloudy, floaties, with a medium, fine head. Sweet and strong, stewed fruits, bread, orange, apricot. Tasty, fruity, nice peppery hop finish. Rather estery and sweeter than I prefer, though. Nice grains. Alcohol noticeable. Full, smooth body. Slightly harsh grain after taste. Love that apricot nose.

Bouteille: Deep golden, hazy, floaties visible, small foamy layer, sweet grainy-bisquity with a vinous and an alcoholic touch; solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied; citrussy aromas in the short sweet and tart finish, a delicate bitterness is detectable in the aftertaste. Great! Too sweet, too monotonous…
