Taster during a Darkest Day event. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: coffee, some chocolate, vanilla, and lacto. Taste: along the same lines, lots of coffee, some chocolate, very thick. Overall: pretty good, excellent for the coffee lovers in the beer.

2017 bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo. Pours a thick, deep brown to black with a finger of beige head that lingers, then dissipates. Classic Abraxas nose with rich milk chocolate and cacao nib alongside big cinnamon notes. As it warms the chili and coffee come out. More coffee forward than the regular, but the cinnamon still stands out. Finishes with coffee, chocolate and cinnamon & chili - heat restrained though. Great stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Coffee Abraxas on 13 Jan 2019 at 10:48 - Score: 8

Bottle at Bumba. Aroma of strong coffee, cinnamon, chocolate and malt. Flavor has coffee, cinnamon, chocolate, roast, gritty malt and a flavorful finish. Strong flavors, yet all in careful balance. Very good.

Bottle thanks to Jimmy. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is intense roast coffee, dark chocolate, peppers, cinnamon. Thick, chewy, similar flavors to nose, nice spice, lingering bitterness, really enjoyed this.

Bottle courtesy of Jacob. Viscous black pour with a creamy mocha head. Roasty malt & heavy spicy nose with plenty of coffee, ginger, cardamom & allspice. Molasses & even more ginger. Sweet bitter taste. Round astringent tiny boozy mouthfeel. Solid impy! Like this a lot more than the base.
