Pours murky brown from the bottle. The head is thick and frothy, and quite stable. Aroma is full of sweet caramel malt, dark fruits, ashes. Taste is sweet with candy notes and a mildly sweet/sour undertone that strengthens in the finish. Body is medium, carbon is soft. The bottle was a bit too cold upon opening. The smoked flavors and aroma became more pronounced over time, but unfortunately so did a slightly metallic feel. Overall though, still a pleasant diversion.
