Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty woody rum and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty woody chocolate and rum flavor. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate and rum finish.

thanx to bobochamlps ! label reads ’ rareR D.O.S. , cycle brewing, .. no sign of the ’peg’s good’ / ’peg’s cantina’ yet i asume this is the same ( the onley outcome by a search on rarer dos, plus i saw it on pictures, and bobochamp rated this here , also. so yeah, weird, but OK.. moving on ! pours black, no foam . very small ring of brown bubbles on the side of the glass. onley visible when i wear my glasses smell is not thazt intense, its describe it as a sweeter-coffe scent. soft carbo. bitter, turning into liquorish , sweet, a bit boowy ( not TOO much) but damn, thats wattery! i thought this wxould be a nice , thick stout ... also not that complex. the rum is pretty recogniwable, but not to straight forward.. overall i’m a bit dissapointed this is as thin as it is. and not that complex// heavy. this could either be a very light beer ( according to the mouthfeel) like 8 abv or something, or a real heavy one ( acoording to the boozyness) like 15 abv... weird... a bit dissapointing, indeed

Draught@Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Black colour, not much head. Aroma is sweet alcohol, malts, liquorice, ripe fruits and some mild rum notes. Flavour is rum, sweet liquorice, some sweet malts with mild toasted and toffeeish notes. Not as good as Rare DOS, as the alcohol and sweetness are a bit more offensive here.

1L growler, sent from mwgroove23 (thank Mike), pours jet black with with a small tan head. Aroma is very intense, with notes of rum, wood, heavy roasted malt and caramel. Flavour is uber-rich, with loads of rich roasted malt, perfectly positioned rum notes, wood and a bit of vanilla. Extremely potent, with notes of rum and vanilla at the forefront, leaving a woody finish. Very viscous and slightly syrupy, but in no way cloying. Extremely complex and highly drinkable for a big barrel-aged impie. Awesome stuff.

Tap @ Mikkeller, Stefansgade. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, wood and rum. Flavor is very sweet and very bitter. Dry and very bitter finish with warming alcohol. Soft and smooth. 230513

Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, hints of wood, alcohol, rum, oak, vanilla and ripe fruits. Taste is sweetish, roasty and slightly boozy with notes of rum, wood and vanilla. Finish is warming, roasty and wooden with notes of alcohol, rum and sweet syrup. Great, quite tasty but not as perfectly balanced as the regular Rare, as the alcohol and rum notes come through a bit too much.

Tap @ Mikkeller, Viktoriagade. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich rhum, wood, roast malt, chocolate and hops. Sweet and bitter with a full body.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Distinct vanilla and cigarbox aroma. Black colour. Small stable dark brown head. The flavour is also of good vanilla, quite smooth and creamy. Some smoke in the finish. Late burn, more like alcohol than hops. Flavourful, but well-balanced and very smooth.
