Draught @ BAF 2016 [ Borefts After Festival: BAF! ] @ Brouwerij Kaapse, Veerlaan 19-D, Rotterdam, Netherlands 3072 AN. [ As Kwartje Upgrade (Vanilla) ].Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, vanilla, light cocoa. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, vanilla - vanilla bean, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, malt bitter. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160925] 8-3-8-4-16

Draft @ Nederlandse Bieren Festival Delft ’17. Pitch black color. Brown head. Aroma’s: fruity and roasted. Retronasal it’s mocha, sweetish, roasty, some vanilla. Moderate sweet flavor. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long finish, roasted , moderate bitter, slightly dry.

[9/25/16] Draught sample at Borefts After Festival 2016 in Rotterdam. Black with a bit of tan foam. Aroma of vanilla, coffee, roast. Sweet flavor with caramel, vanilla, nuts, roast, coffee, chocolate, and a bitterish finish.

Thank you for sharing Israeli Crew! Sampled draft @ BAF 2016. Black, super creamy mocha head. Nose is thick sweet mocha, chocolate, vanilla, sugar, milk chocolate. Taste is low bitterness upfront followed by thick creamy mocha, chocolate, subdued vanilla but clearly there, creamy, faint roasted malts, mocha ice cream. Very creamy mocha body. Very nice. Didn’t see this one coming at all given my experiences with my first 2 Kwartje beers.

Tap at BAF. Black with small light brown head. Coffee, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, dry ashy touch. Medium sweet with quite some roasted bitterness. Over medium bodied with slick feel. Probably better than the Kermis version :-)

Sampled from tap at Kaapse BAF 2016. Opaque near black brown with tan head. Sweet deep roasted choco malts and loads of vanilla, dry wood. Milk chocolate. Light sweet and overpowering cocoa and hop bitterness. Over medium body, creamy feel, soft carbonation. Bit woody cocoa bitter finish smoothened out by sweet vanilla.

Keg at The After Borefts Beer Festival, Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam, Sunday 25th September 2016. Pours black with a tan head, vanilla is very prevalent, very easy drinking for the abv, a little sweet liquorice and watery chocolate combine. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

On tap at tbe Hague beer festival shared with Kermis. medium creamy tan head. Lovely vanilla aroma. Clear black pour. Very well made.

Draft at The Hague beer festival. Black with a medium sized brown head. Aroma of big chocolate upfront, with fudge, soft but present vanilla, roasty notes, light bourbon like aspects, toffee and light ripe fruity touches behind. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Full bodied with a moderate thick sticky texture and soft carbonation. Another excellent one from Kwartje!
