A dessert in a glass. This beer is brewed using unfermentable lactose sugar, vanilla beans and plenty of roasted malts to provide a sweet, smooth caramel drinking experience. No blowtorch was used in the making of this beer.

Cask at CBC Islington, 10/12/14. Light black with a well appointed tan covering that retains very well. Nose is sweet chocolate, vanilla custard, light malt, sweet tunes. Taste comprises creme brulee, toasted brown sugar, chocolate, sweet malt, dark toffee, faint aniseed. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweet licks in the close. Solid creme brulee offering. Sweet as you’d expect and I’d struggle with more than a half, but decent none the less.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 4th December 2014. Deep red with pale tan vanishing head and scant lacing. Nutty sweet caramel aroma. Creamy burnt caramel and nuttiness in-mouth - hazelnut. A savoury touch. Rich malty finish with molasses, chocolate and toffee flavour. Velvety, yet engaging texture with fair proportion of body. Rated as a novelty beer.
