(Cask at O’Connell’s, 20150307) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had caramel, burnt sugar and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, caramel, burnt sugar, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was excessively sweet and bitter.

Cask @ Akkurat. A true dessert beer. Very sweet with notes of milk chocolate and vanilla. Mild roasted and coffee notes. Soft mouthfeel.

Tap at Cask, Pimlico. Poured a clear dark brown with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is zesty sweet malt. The flavour is moderate sweet with a zesty sherbet fake sugar palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. It’s desert in a glass just as it says on the label.

On cask at Craft Islington. Dark brown lasting head. Too much lactose. This is no southern tier and too lactose. Couldnt finish.2.6/5. Re rate May 31st 2016. Drier. Not so much sweet lactose but still a bit much. Ok.

Cask at Craft Holborn. It pours deep brown with a medium, bubbly beige head. The nose is sweet creme brulee, cinnamon, custard, burnt toffee, caramelized sugars, nougat, marshmallow and vanilla. The taste is smooth, sweet, toasty, light roast, earth, sweet milky coffee, custard, creme brulee, cocoa, nougat, vanilla, light alcohol and touch of acidity with a sweet finish. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Well realized. Does what it says on the pump clip! A touch sweet for my own taste, but well done nonetheless.

Craft Islington. Cask. Clear deep red beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light, smooth and semi dry. Good fine carbonation. Light malts. Nice vanilla - toffee sweetness. Light fruity tang. More vanilla before a smooth and semi dry finish. Very drinkable and well judged, it’s never cloying.
