A darker premium bitter, well-hopped but with a smooth mouthfeel. A complex balance of malts gives a well-rounded flavour.

500ml bottle bought at Kjeller 5 and shared with Finn Arvid at his place. Rocky beige head that stayed for a while over a close to clear mahogany coloured body. Fair lacing. Roasted malty aroma with fruity hints. Rich taste profile of nuts and dark caramel nicely blended with roasted malty bitterness to a rather long-lived ending. Medium bodied. Brit bitter at its best (Tromsø 28.01.2016).

Flaske 500ml fra Kjeller 5. Mørk gyldenbrun. Mye kullsyre på glasset. Middels høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Lett maltaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken balansert. Fine nyanser av malt. Blir passe tørr etter hvert og gir mersmak. Veldig "engelsk".

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. Bright chestnut with a thin cream head; sweet, honeyed, buttery aroma; smooth in the mouth with a rich oily texture, sweet richly roasted malts, and some chocolate and nuts, combined with a light spicy bitterness; leading to a long satisfying finish. A rather good ESB style beer.

5th May 2015: cask, hand-pulled pint in the Royal Oak somewhere in London. Deep red hue to the brown body, a beige head sitting on top. Malts all the way in this full bodied, smooth brew. Semi-sweet with very little hop influence in either the nose or flavour. Decent.
