Keg at Spotty Dog - Hudson. Pours clear glowing honey-gold with a modest, foamy off-white head. Great old-school IPA, assertive piney bitterness, orange peel, lightly toasted malts, a little dirty grass. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lingering bitterness in the finish, ample piney resin, more rindy citrus. Excellent.

Short pour at Kraftwork. Light Amber with soft, soapy head. Hoppy aroma, dry, leafy. Taste brings more astringency, hand soap. Some Medicinal cough drop, but not in a bad way. Piney, herbal.

Location: Draft at Mugs Ale House, 7/30/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy, with lots of citrus, pine, and grassy notes to it
Appearance: It pours a clearish amber-red color with a fairly small off-white head
Flavor: The taste is fairly hoppy as well, light malty sweetness, heavier hoppy presence
Palate: The body is medium (plus), average carbonation, slightly creamy, with a dryish finish
Overall Impression: It is always good to try another small brewery, which I assume this is, as I can't recall trying anything from them previously. Anyway, this was a solid IPA for sure, a nice effort at the style, with a crisp and dry feel to it.
