Our India Pale Ale features an abundance of hop character gained from five separate additions of hops including the use of whole-cone Simcoe and Citra hops in our hop jack. Notes of citrus fruit and grass in the aroma are followed by a rounded flavor of citrus and pine.

Level 42 Bottleshare and no Mark King in sight. Big thanks to Leighton for another can of hoppy goodness. Hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is softish, fairly dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet. Cooling pine into mild pineapple. Moderately spicy tropical fruits and then a piney spicy pineapple finish, Very nice indeed.

Drought @ Albion. Cloudy bright orange with almost non-existent frothy white head, very faint citrus aroma, low carbonation, thin watery body, light hoppy taste, abrupt finish. Not an impressive IPA.

At the brewery: pours copper with a white head. Aroma is pine and a hint of grapefruit. Taste is pretty piney. Not too bitter and a bit sweet. Nice juicy finish. Pretty good. Not too intense.

Sampled at the brewery, 4/11/16
Murky orange pour. Grass, pine, citrus rind hops aroma and flavor. Smooth and clean mouthfeel. Drinks very nicely
Increased from 3.2 to 3.5
Location: Sampled at TapNY, 4/26/14
Aroma: The nose has grassy hops, some citrus notes, and some pale malts as well
Appearance: This one pours a clear copper color with an off-white head
Flavor: The flavor is decent, some pale malts, with an okay hop flavor
Palate: The body is medium, it has an alright mouthfeel, and a somewhat dry finish
Overall Impression: I found this one to be a fine, but fairly unexciting IPA. I really wanted to like it more. I'll still try more Gun Hill beers, but I wasn't super impressed by the ones at Tap.
