Location: 12 oz bottle from Trader Joes (Short Pump), 1/15/10

Aroma: Light citrus, spice, and dough nose
Appearance: Lightly cloudy golden-orange color, some sheeting lace
Flavor: Taste is mild sweetness and light bitterness, well-balanced
Palate: Light body, a touch thin, unoffensive
Overall Impression: A good, highly affordable, sessionable beer. It's not the most exciting beer, but it works pretty well, and at the price point it is pretty darn good. It would also make a pretty good intro-to-craft type beer, as it is unoffensive but still has a little flavor to it. Nice attempt here.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s in Glen Allen, VA. Pours a hazy orange color with a thin head. Average head retention and lacing. Straightforward and well balanced aroma with caramel malts and citrus hops. Leafy, citrus and slightly metallic hop notes in the taste with a bit of nutty maltiness. Thin-medium bodied and quite refreshing.

Sampled on tap at Union Ale. I got to preview the entire line of beers from the owner himself. Pours a hazy, amber with a frothy, lacing white head. The nose on this was really excellent, pine, flowers, candy, lemons, grapefruits. The nose was so big that even when the glass was empty you could still smell the hops. The flavor was surprisingly well balanced, plenty of oranges and lemons obviously, but a nice honey sweetness that rounded everything out. The finish was dry and only slightly bitter. I thought this was the best of the bunch.

From tap at Yard House in San Diego. Pours clear and golden orange with a small and dense creamy head. Aroma is light fruity hoppy. Flavour is mild sweet and fruity with a light bitterness coming through. Semi sweet malt base. Bitter and fruity flavoured finish.

A solid pale ale.Gold color. Very nice aroma with hops, not especially powerful, but good for a very inexpensive beer. Hop hop aroma with light bitterness, this is more flavorful than the ipa.

Thanks to Lord Gorlock for this one! This pours a light gold color with a large frothy head that began to fade immediately. The aroma is fresh, green, undried hops. The flavor is sweet with a touch of bitterness in the finish. The flavor is very weak overall. Thin body.

Bottle. Pale amber color with a nice white head that clings on. Great cascade aroma - very hoppy. Flavor is a sweet malt with a spicy/earthy hops, but it could use a little more something to bring it all together. dry finish, not much in the body.
