Draught. Reddish copper color with small whitish spongy head, very faint malt aroma, medium carbonation, slightly bitter and tangy taste reminiscent of rye, hops taste not very noticable, bitter long finish. Very different from a usual IPA.

Clearish red coloured body with a copper glow and a one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pale malt, some hop pellets, a bit of alcohol and a hint of hay. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic and slightly perfumey hop notes at first with a good malt backbone, some lighter grass and hay notes and a hint of caramel and toffee at the end. Aftertaste shows some more complexity than I expected, but some decent hops and a good malt backbone - not bad at all, not sublime, but a good beer to try. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Half Time in Poughkeepsie, New York on 26-December-2012 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 29-January-2013.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of floral and grapefruity hops and some caramelly malt. Sweetish malt flavor with a bit of fruitiness and some grainy touches, later turns bitter and hoppy with some grapefruit. Medium-bodied. Decent.
