A fresh take on a fruit beer. This crisp, unfiltered lager is aged on blueberries for a pleasant blueberry aroma and taste. To take this fruity character in a new direction,we brewed with Tettnang Noble hops for an added subtle citrus note. A delicious blend of flavors with a smooth lager finish.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting Sep 14 2013 - Pours hazy yellow with some lacing. The aroma makes me think of purple kool-aid. I guess it’s blueberries but they seem a bit odd. The flavor is sweet with some bluberry. It’s light bodied. The finish is still sweet. The beer is okay, I guess. It’s better than the Porch Rocker, which is setting the bar low.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color lager with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of fake blueberry syrup with overly sweet malt base. Taste is also dominated by this fake blueberry syrup with overly sweet aftertaste. Body is light with good carbonation. This one is a bit disappointing coming from Sam Adams.

The pour is slightly hazy under a fluffy, lasting white head. tart fruity aroma, more melon like than blueberry. The flavor follows the aroma. a bit of dryness in the finish. Light and refreshing, easy drinker.

Bottle, 12oz. It’s an almost clear one, golden in color and with a dense, two-finger off-white to white head leaving lacings. There’s lots of American blueberries on the nose, but not much else. Some resiny, grassy hops and a little touch of pale malts though. It’s a bit sweet on the palate I think, medium bodied and pleasantly carbonated. The blueberries in th finish feels a bit artficial. Not bad, but not I beer I can see myself buying it again. 130819

Purchased in the States, part of their 2013 Beers of Summer variety pack. Pours a hazy golden colour with a frothy warm cap, good retention and foamy lace. Fresh blueberry jam nose at first, with some light grainy malt and hop appearing. Lots of active carbonation keeping the head up, almost creamy. The taste is fruity with the blueberries, but not overly and not too sweet. The mild grassy hops keep this calm. Medium-light bodied with just a tad of tart. Pretty refreshing and goes down well. A nice fruity lager.

This beer is a slightly hazy golden color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of blueberries and malt. Light body with a sweet blueberry character and notes of bready malt. The finish is sweet like Boo-Berry cereal. One-note and slightly below average overall.

Bottle: Pours a medium depth gold with a decent white head. Nose of blueberry and florals, just a little malty. More of the floral blueberry notes than fruity. I had expected this to be a little too sweet, but it wasn’t... almost not sweet enough. Not to bad, but sort of bland.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy medium gold color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was sweet sugar and blueberry. The flavor was tangy bread, cracker, artificial blueberry and artificial sugar. Medium length cracker and blueberry finish. Medium body. Tasty.
