Great Notion Unbalanced Breakfast 6.4%

I’ve gotta say this smells and tastes like a stack of blueberry pancakes with maple syrup. It had thick fluffy beige foam on a not so attractive amber brown body which makes it perfect for my metal glass. The coffee comes through in the finish but I’ve gotta say this is ba lazy Sunday breakfast in a glass. Great.

It’s been awhile since I’ve had something from Great Notion but I’ve gotta say this is among the best I’ve had from them. #keepbeerfun indeed.

Pint can from Happy’s Market. Pours a amber-brownish color with a small head. Smells exactly that way you would expect it to, based on the description. Blueberry pancakes with maple syrup and hints of coffee. The same carries through the flavor; maybe a bit more coffee influence. I can’t imagine that I’ve ever had a truer breakfast beer.

Pale brown...ugly coffee berry blend. The aroma is this hilarious catastrophe...a dumpster fire strapped to a train wreck loaded onto a sinking ship...tragicomedy in a glass. Smells like maple berry coffee shit, tastes pretty good despite having the same flavours...and totally entertaining the whole way through.

Poured from the tap. Orangey pink with off white head. Aroma of coffee and light blueberry. Taste of blueberry purée, mild coffee, and hint of maple syrup. Surprisingly great!

Pours a cloudy, pinkish-copper, with minimal head. Aroma of blueberries, cereal, maple syrup. Flavors of blueberries, maple syrup, coffee, breakfast cereal. That combo may not sound too great, but the whole thing comes together surprisingly well. It has just the lightest touch of sourness, coupled with a slight sweetness.

Sample at MBCC2019 First Session, Copenhagen. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Coffee, some fruits, dryness, sweetness and some sourness. Interesting and strange.
