Nomad is our spin on the classic Bohemian Pilsner style. The journey starts with German malts and Saaz hops that offer a lively floral nose and crispness, while a full 5 weeks of lagering time ensures that Nomad is eminently balanced. This Nomad may wander, but it’s got some serious roots.

Lemon zest aroma, hints of grain. Milky yellow, almost golden, medium head. Lemon, coriander, wheat malt flavor. Grass finish, some floral notes also present. Very pleasantly tangy for the style. Maybe my glass isn’t beer clean, but this didn’t drink like a true pilsner, european or otherwise. Still, it is tasty and better than most authentic examples.

Bottle: Gold pour with a little white head. Nose is earthy. floral, and malty... so is the taste. A little bit grassey and decently crisp. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Sweet barley malt and herbal hops aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Honey barley malt and moderately bitter herbal/quinine flavor. Pretty nice.

On tap at The Hay Merchant. Pours a clear golden with a small frothy white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet malt and smooth finish. A decent pilsener from Great Divide.

Tap @ Great Divide taproom. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, noteable yeasty, grass and flowery hops, notes of lemon. Taste is much like arome, malt, yeast light hoppy, light lemon. Medium body, lively carbonation. Overall not crisp enough and ill go without the yeasty notes. 260212

Light gold colour. Has a medium saaz aroma and taste. The malts, however, are a little bit doughy, reducing the sessionability of the beer.

Pours clear pale straw color with white head. Aromas of grassy hops and cereal malts. Lightly sweet pilsner malt flavor with grassy hops. Slight bitterness. Light to medium body with crisp carbonation. A nice pilsner.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ. Was very excited to try this as I like most of the Great Divide I have sampled and looking forward to a fresh American Pils on tap. Sadly... not great. Pours with a clear golden hue with a huge white head. Aromas are of DMS (STRONGLY), earthy, tannic, vegital grain covers up what I can see as a nicely bready (pils?) malt profile with some lightly spicy hops....DMS is GLARING! Flavors are pretty much all DMS. Cooked veggies, sharply vegital, mild sulfur, spicy hops and bready. A bit nutty. Flawed. Medium body with fuller carbonation.

12 oz. bottle. Pours clear gold, and bubbly. The head is medium thickness, white, and foamy. The aroma is resin, and citrus hops, and crystal malts. The flavor is sweet, with a bright, crisp bitterness. The palate is light to medium, crisp, and a little astringent. Overall, this is a good pils.

Pour is a straw gold with a short lived white head. Aroma is mild bready malts and some sweet grain. Flavor is again a sweet malt, light bitterness and some plastic toward the end. Not Great Divides best. It’s a very light and uninspired take on one of my fav styles.
