Bottle, 7.5%. Faint, but refreshing hop aroma. Rather muddy amber colour, I guess I should have let it rest longer. Small stable off-white head. The flavour is yeasty at first. Has a little toffeeish caramel. OK hoppiness. Well-balanced.

Bottle. Pours cloudy amber with small beige head. Clear, fruity aroma with notes of caramel malt and alcohol. Sweetish, malty and caramellish taste, with clear notes of hops and citric touches. Discernible alcohol presence. Bitter aftertaste. Nice.

33 cl. bottle poured in to a tulip. Cloudy, deep amber colour with a huge, off-white head that settles in to thin cap. Sweet aroma with yeasts, spices, fruits, light liquorice and a hint of alcohol. Caramel malts. Taste is sweet. Medium to full body with a creamy texture, soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with overripe fruits, spices and a hint of alcohol. Good, flavourful and subtle.

Fruity nose. Light hazy amber colour, foamy off-white head, vanishes quickly, thin layer remains, nice lacing. Aroma malt, peach, apricot, bread, cinnamon, citrus, floral hops. Medium sweet and bitter taste, fruity undertones, marmelade. Medium body, smooth creamy texture, fizzy mouthfeel; sweet malty and fresh fruity (dark fruits) finish followed by lingering moderate bitterness and some spiciness. Well-balanced and interesting beer.

33cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance -a beautiful amber going into red with a perfectly proportioned head. Nose - very gentle toffee and cream. Taste - toffee and green apple skins. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy but tangy texture and a relatively fresh finosh. Overall - least exciting La Trappe beer I’ve had but still good.

Pours an attractive hazy amber with a huge frothy head. Aroma of yeast, fruits, spices, bready malts, very slight caramel. Pretty good, but not spectacular.

Dark caramel. 2 finger persistent head with nice lacing. Sweet and malty. Nice German notes and sweet with brown sugar. Taste is sweet and full of cloves bitter and great Belgian pale ale qualities.

Tastes like a strong amber ale. A bit roasted, yeasty and some burned caramel. Nice beer, worthy of the 125th year anniversary of La Trappe.
