When In Flames played around Europe with Five Finger Death Punch, Anders brewed an American style pale ale to accompany the tour, and became a huge success. For the summer’s Borgholm Brinner Festival, the beer was brewed again, but put in a can this time. Fresh notes of grapefruit and exotic fruit with tangerine make this a great pairing with sushi and well-done burgers.

330 ml can, from Bris Ølutsalg, Jørpeland. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of citrussy hops, also hints of tropical fruits. Light bodied, thin mouthfeel. Dry flavour, citrussy hops, hints of spruce and pine. Too thin to be memorable.

SBWF2018. Golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruits and some mild biscuity tones. Flavour is caramel, toffee, some grapefruits, citrus and mild herbal tones to it. Refreshing.

On tap at Frequency, Stockholm. Golden with a small white head. Mild with citrus, some hops and light tangerine. The same in the taste. The body was light and the bitterness medium. An ok one.

200ml draught at Bierhaus. Creamy white head, misty golden body, spotty lacing. Aroma of sweaty hops. Moderate taste profile of citrus and pale malts. Rounded mid-dry bitter ending. Food friendly and decent. (Stockholm 28.07.2018).

Tap@Taproom Malmo, Malmo - Almost clear golden pour with white head. Citrus fruity with some notes of orange and grapefruit, medium to light body, fruity hoppy finish.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 5 Dec 2017) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grass and bread. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, grass, citrus, a touch of resin and a balanced citric/grassy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Leaning in the pilsner direction, but fresh and tasty. Quite nice.
