Bottle. Pours hazy lightish amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, possibly elderflower, with some estery notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of needles and fruit and touches of malt and yeast. Lingering, bitter aftertaste. Very nice and refreshing on a hot summer’s day.

Cask at the Manor Arms, Broughton-in-Furness. Yellow and clear. Scent of butterscotch and lemon. Bittersweet taste. Malt, golden syrup and cereal notes. Medium bittersweet palette. Not initially keen on this one, but it grows on me.

0,5 l bottle, best before 1/2015. Got it for free as it is past its prime. Hazy, golden yellow with a foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish, fruity aroma of citrus, vanilla and toffee. Slightly bitter taste of citrus, vanilla and toffee with hints of tobacco or leather. Short, crisp, medium bitter finish. Medium body, fresh, spritzy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Refreshing, easy to drink and only 4.4 % abv: good!

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fresh, citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, lemon yoghurt, biscuity, pale malty background, lemon biscuit. Taste is citrusy hoppy, minimally tart, lemon notes again, in yoghurt, biscuit and peel mode. Very nice, refreshing, highly drinkable.

Handpump @Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Hazy golden ale, thin head. Aroma is sulphurous at first, then it becomes a bit better... citrus, a touch of flowers, malt, biscuits. Flavour is very well balanced, malt, biscuits, with a bitter and dry end. Light body, no carbonation. So so...
