Bier van hoge gisting. Dit donkerbruin bier met rode tinten is volmondig en zacht in de afdronk. De karaktervolle fruitige smaak wordt omlijnd door een zachte en fijne bitterheid.

Pours hazy brown with a lasting, short, tan head. The aroma contains caramel, nuts, syrup, some red fruits, biscuit, hops, (light roasted) malt and milk chocolate. It tastes medium to heavy sugary/malty sweet and only light hoppy bitter with a slightly metallic edge. Medium body, sticky/slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Secretly liking this.

25ml bottle from Verheyde, Watou. Pours dark brown, off-white head. Aroma is promisingly sweet with some dubbel yeast. Taste is smooth, lightly sweet but falls short of a good sweet dubbel character. Something just doesn’t seem right, with a somewhat thin body and some dusty cobwebs coming through.

Bottle from Thirion, Copenhagen - dark reddish brown with a off-white to beige head. Sweet malty aroma and taste with caramel, fudge, some dark dried fruity notes, yeasty, with some nice spices into the finish. Decent.
