Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker near Gent, Belgium. 27.04.12 consumed at Small Dole campsite near Brighton 04.05.12 Pours amber with white head. Instantly very bitter in the mouth, like hop juice, fresh green juicy raw hops, dry beer with littlr sweetness. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bottle @ home. Pours a bit hazy, dark orange appearance with a huge, lively cream colored head. The head really goes crazy upon pouring. Really a big herbal, organic, slight grapefruity hoppy, light green tea, slightly floral aroma. Very bitter, puckeringly bitter, super floral, soapy, herbal hoppy, somewhat woody flavor. The bitterness just lingers and lingers and lingers. Way over the top.

Bottled 330ml (Drink Shop, BB 12/2013)
Clear amber color, small white head. Aroma is sticky hoppy, it is like sniffing hop bag. Light bodied. Starts fruity (grapefruit) and hayish, then ultimate lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Dry and simple with extreme bitterness but as it is only 4.9%, also drinkable. Quite similar to Beer Hunter’s Intianpässi.

Medium, yellowish tinted head over well-carbonated hazy orange-amber beer. Typical exotic-fruit/citrus aromas from USA-hops, intense. Bit of pine/resin as well. Very nice smell. Outspoken bitter, very resiny hopflavour, ending indeed as quinine or strong green tea. Hopnotes are such that only unripe fruit could fit to this; vegetable bitter as well. Medium bodied, slick, but spritzy MF, dry-out effect. Yes, I can see one would like this. It’s certainly rewarding if you’re a die-hard hophead, but I wonder if I could manage more than two of these...

Bottle. Pours semi-cloudy apricot with off white head. Nose/taste of dry wood, bitter hops, grapefruit rind, malt, pine and peach. Finishes very bitter with dry flaked wood. Lighter bodied.

A really beautiful, white head over an redish amber ale. Lots of hops on the nose. Sweet tones of grape and pine. The taste is not sweet but really resinously and bitter. You can feel the lack of a body to carry so much bitter hops. Probably the most bitter pale ale I’ve tasted. The subjective feeling is that it’s much more bitter than the ordinary 1000 IBU. Hard to judge, great tastes but pretty unbalanced and a bit to much bitterness to be enjoyable. But who says that every beer should be enjoyed?

Stark bitterer Abgang, dennoch weich. Sicher nicht alltäglich! 8/11/5/7/8/8

A orange beer with a medium and blond head. Aroma is fruitfull, peaches, grapefruits, some pine needles and fructose. Taste is slightly fruitfull and grapefruity, but strong bitterness is dominant, pine needles, resin, pine cones. Overally, taste is very dry and bitter, but not like 1000 IBU, not overflowing bitter. Medium bodied, fresh to drink. Interesting curiosity, too much bitteness that makes this beer not so enjoyable, but still a drinkable hopbrew, anyway.

330ml bottle from Drink Shop, Tallinn, Estonia
BBE 12/12/13 - Pours light orange with a large foamy head. Aroma of lovely fruity hops, some caramel malts and hints of toffee. Taste is massively bitter with some hints of fruits and grassy hops. Finish is just bitterness that stays on forever with some hints of lemon. A nice curiosity, but feels a bit light bodied and not very balanced. Still quite enjoyable, at least to a hophead like myself.
