Thanks for purchasing another offering in our series of "Big Mo" Beers. For as long as people have inhabited Colorado’s Front Range, the Twin Sisters have had a strong impact on Colorado residents. The views from atop the 11,428’ peaks are breathtaking and afford sweeping views of the entirety of Rocky Mountain National Park. As an expression of admiration we have crafted an ale that exhibits a profound impact all its own. At 11428 IBU’s (just kidding), Twin Sisters is a mountainous testament to hops, and that they bring. A feeling of ease and relaxation become apparent for all whom would dare to climb it. So for all that enjoy summiting ales with copious hops additions to achieve a felling of contentment and awe, we offer Twin Sisters Double IPA. Enjoy!

Bomber bought @ Systembolaget. Pours tiny hazy amberish golden with a small frothy offwhite head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet, boozy and tiny metallic with sweet bread, biscuits, caramel, pine needles, overripe citrus fruits, overripe tropical fruits, alcohol, resinous wood and hints of acetone. Taste is very bitter, slightly malty, boozy and tiny metallic with sweet bread, caramel, butterscotch, alcohol, ear wax (don’t ask me why I know that), pine needles, grapefruit rinds, overripe tropical fruits, rotten lemons, resinous wood and silage. Mouthfeel is round, boozy, tiny sticky sweet, tiny oily bitter and medium bodied. Finish is bitter and boozy with sweet bread, ear wax, grapefruit rinds, silage, rotten lemons, pine needles and alcohol. WTF happened here? I held on to this for too long but still it should be much better than this. A boozy overripe fruit beer. Very much not my cup of tea.

Courtesy of tderoeck. Thx! 650 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG II. Nice label. The guy who draws the Left Hand labels sometimes makes some really beautiful things. Pours amber with little head. Nose is fruity grapefruit hops, honey, some heast and caramel. Bitter honey taste, grapefruit, light pine, minor signs of age, bitter yeast, caramel malts, touch bitter herbs in the back. Slightly higher carb. Nice.

Bottle - Amber in colour. Lemon, pineapple and grapefruit in the aroma. Grapefruit, peach and some biscuity malt in taste. A little too dry and bitter for my taste.

Draft at White Horse in Parsons Green, London on 6 July 2013. Big, quite sweet aroma of orange peal, caramel and little citrus bitterness and alcohol. Sweet juicy ripe fruits straight up with hints of butterscotch and some residual grapefruit and resiny hop bitterness.
