Bottle at home, 8th November 13. Pours a thin, watery off black. Iodine on the nose some liquorice. Taste is not complex, too thin mouth feel, no sign of the whiskey. Not a very good imperial stout

Black with creamy head. Moderately roasty aroma with a touch of wood and liquorice. Most of the flavour is in the aftertaste with pleasant cocoa and coffee notes coming through.

Cask at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam, Nov β12
Black color, small head. Mild roasted malt aroma, with some sourness. The body is thinner than expected, some roasted malt, good chocolate, too much sourness.
Unstylish, but not bad.

Brown body, beige head. Aroma of red fruit, juniper berry, roasted malts, chocolate, fruit and wood. Bitter flavour, roasted malts and wood. Quite dry. Finish wood and berries.
Nice, though for me personally not the best one by Ramses. And where did the whisky go?
(From 33cL bottle generously shared by Ronald. Thanks!)

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 20 Feb 2013) Dark brown colour, almost black, with creamy beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of chocolate, creamy coffee and a touch of oak wood. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, creamy coffee, dark fruit, a touch of oak wood and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Very nice.

Cask at In de Wildeman. According to the staff brewed with cedar, but wasnβt 100% sure. Black colour, no head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, ash, tar, bitter wood, coffee. Flavour is light sweet, hard roasted malts, tar, cold coffee, wood, chocolate, firm bitter roasted finish. Medium-bodied, very light carbonation. Not much sweetness here.

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark brown with a offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, cocunut, peat, whisky. Flavor of malts, wood, peat, whisky, booze. Thin body, lively carbonation, alcoholic fininsh. Pretty nice aroma, but flavor way to heavy on whisky and gets to boozy. 170812

33 cl bottle # home (live rating). Dark red-brown color. Off-white to beige head. Aromaβs: Oak, bit of vanilla, bit whisky, retronasal also roasted & malts (and some more whisky). Flavor a bit roasted bitter, a slight sweetness and has wood-tones all over. Warms the throat. Medium body. Finishes with some roast, more oak and a firm bitterness. Possibly been a bit too long on wood, but a nice attempt anyway, seems to get better with every sip
