Bottled. Hazy brown colour with a mediumsized beige head, which disappears quite fast. Aroma is nuts, some sweet and roasted malts, fudge, some sugary notes as well as some slight wooden notes. Flavour is toffee, roasted malts, nuts, some toasted and burnt sugary notes along with a slight spiciness to it.

Fra flaske på DSJT, Cardinal nov-16: klar brunrød kobber med flott skum som varer. Kjeks, karamell og røde bær i aroma og smak. Myk bitterhet i avslutningen, men for øvrig nokså forglemmelig. Kan det skyldes at det var kveldens siste?

KØLF 180316. Dark amber colour with a tan head. Flavour is spices, yeast, caramel, fruit, grain. Medium body. OK beer.

330 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a dense tan head. Aroma has caramel malt, dry fruit and mild roast. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, toast and balanced bitterness. Fine body and good aftertaste. A really well made, solid, good balanced brown ale.

330ml Bottle - Brown in colour. Nuts, toffee and pine in the aroma. Hoppy and nutty taste with chestnuts, toffee and some soapy hops.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsdalen. Dyp brun med et høyt lysebrunt skum som varer lenge. Litt lacing. Aroma av malt & krydder. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken mest malt. Svakt røstet. Spor av nøtter. Fin balanse. Litt tørr etter hvert. Bunnfall igjen på flaska. Dette hadde nok vært utmerket til julens kjøttretter - og noen desserter.

Flaska från SB. Julöl 2015. Mahognyfärgad med en djupröd nyans. Doft av rostad malt, toast, toffee och lite tall. Mjuk rund munkänsla med en lite vassare kantig beska på slutet. Maltiga smaker, mjölkchoklad, toffee, tallbarr. En kompromiss mellan klassisk och modern brown ale. Funkar ok även om inte smakerna riktigt lyfter varandra.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsdalen. Pours a cloudy red-brown coloured body topped by a fawn-coloured head with solid retention and decent lacing. Quite inviting aroma of plain brown malts, slightly roasted. Mixed taste of caramel, chocolate, nuts, and dark spices followed by a nicely roasted ending with a backdrop of pine needles. Medium bodied. A pleasant seasonal brew (Tromsø 01.01.2016).

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Dark brown, mid sized head. Restrained toasty nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Toffee, slight notes of chocolate, some spicy bitterness. Somewhat shy, yet edgy.
