Medium beige head. Slightly hazy deep dark red body with small visible particles. Roasty dusty caramel aroma with cardamom and fruit notes. Dry-sweet earthy dusty caramel taste with roasty toffee notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel, faintly mealy. Dryish resiny roasty caramelly aftertaste with dusty spicy roasted sugar and oil notes. Lovely taste, harmonic, vivid, and full of flavour. A really nice beer, and highly drinkable. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly web order.)

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Dark orange body with a small beige head. Nice aroma of citric fruit and caramel malt. Flavor is sweet malt, slightly toast, citric fruit and decent bitterness. Medium body and OK aftertaste. Nice, easy to drink and well balanced all the way.

330 ml bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 6.3%. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Strong sweetish and fruity aroma, notes of forest berries and oranges. Intense and complex flavour, medium sweet, strong notes of various fruits and berries, distinctly hopped throughout, a hint of smoke in the finish.

0,33 flaske fra polet: tett beige skum over et ravfarget brygg, litt humlearoma med rosiner, svisker, maltsødme og andre godsaker, som alle er tydeligere i den solid maltbaserte smaken. En riktig god amber ale (hva er forresten karakteristika på en american strong ale?) som minner meg så sterkt om Holmens Ravgal Bengaler - en amber india ale med belgisk gjær - at jeg sporenstreks setter kursen mot de profundis (kjellerboden). Dersom man kunne gitt poeng for stilige etiketter hadde denne fått bra score, gøyal tegning!

From tap. Pours clear and golden dark amber with a small off white head. Aroma is breadish and toffee malty. Bitter, toasted malty and caramelish. Solid bitter and lingering and dark caramelish. Dry finish.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Tromsø Sentrum. Frothy beige head with excellent retention and nice lacework. Clear dark amber coloured body. Fruit hoppy nose join by a touch of coffee grounds. Fine blended flavours of sappy citrus hops and sweet maltiness of grainy chocolate. Mid-dry, leafy bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Fits it season. Nice. Promising new brewery this one (Tromsø 02.11.2013).
