Bottle, 8C. Cloudy brown with a beige cap. Convincing fat sticky bread and sausage aroma. A little lighter bodied than suggested by the aroma and there’s a slightly puzzling tingle too - some peach and mango fruit "leather" under the meaty caramel stickiness. Maybe lacks a bit of depth for >7% but pretty good and smells fantastic.

Bottle at from Flink Gegist bottle shop, Delft, Netherlands consumed in Frank (Camper) at Delfsehout campsite, Delft, Thursday 8th October 2015. Pours dark brown in colour with a tan head. Smoke on the nose and a smokey taste throughout. Some dark malty flavours intermingle with the smoke and there is also a dab of caramel as well. I’d had quite a few beers by the time I had this so this is the best I can do. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, brown colour with a short and tanned foamy head. Smoke-malty aroma with notes of smoked ham, caramel, a tinge of sugar and burnt wood, as well as subtle fruity and yeasty notes. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied at best, calm carbonation. Present smoked malt upfront with notes of bacon and ham, traces of caramel in the background; moderately sweet and mildly bitter, smoky and meaty finish. Good, but a tad slim, also quite Bamberg-ish. 20.IX.15
