330ml bottle. Poured a hazy dark brown colour with a short-lived, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is smoke, salty bacon. The flavour is light sweet, light salty with a smooth, smoky bacon, light caramel, herbal, light liqourice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Malt and Hemaworst in the aroma. Falt malty sweet flavor with apricot, smoke and Hemaworst. Low on carbon. Not really subtle, but quite pleasant.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with late awakening, small, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Smoky aroma, notes of smoked ham, smoked eel, birch, some caramel, a woody ashy and a minimally peaty touch. Taste is slightly sweet dark malty and smoky, notes of malt lozenge, dark chocolate, hints of cold ashes, some peat, a touch of TCP, bitter hoppy counterpart; soft carbonation.

From a 330ml bottle on 22/2/2017. Pours dark brown with almost no head. Has a strong aroma of campfire smoke and bacon. In the mouth it’ features caramel and treacle, oodles of smokey meat, and a moderately sharp, citrssy sour bitterness to finish things off, The texture is a bit stick and the carbonation is soft. This is the third dark smoked De Molen I’ve had in recent times and all have been very enjoyable.
